IRS-Based DecisionsWhen dealing with a tax authority, the decisions can be daunting since these authorities wield the power to enforce their claims with penalties, interest, liens, levies, and garnishments. And they make their decisions based on the information they have on file or that they have created by filling in the gaps.
That’s why our process starts with a comprehensive tax analysis that gathers all of the information the tax authority has on you, your family, or your business. This information includes your master tax file and your reporting records from third parties who claim they have paid you for services. Armed with this information, our legal department analyzes your particular case, led by our supervising attorney who has been exclusively handling tax controversies for over 10 years. This discovery phase provides the following essential foundation for any future resolution:
I called Accelerated Tax Solutions on March 23, 2024. I was in a panic because I had gotten a bill for over $300,000 from the IRS. I was certain I didn’t owe it but my efforts to resolve it on my own obviously didn’t work. To add to my panic my mother had just passed and I was in the position of a very large inheritance; I thought I was going to lose $300 k right off the top. Nope, the absolutely fantastic staff at Accelerated made it all go away! I now hold a letter received on the 27 of April 2024 with a zero balance owing. This company is everything they say they are and then some. The compassion Josh had for me in my situation made me feel like family. Thanks to each person who touched my case, you are all a class act!

Alternatives You could try a company who provides you a fee for services without understanding your complete situation. They might tell you what you want to hear because they claim to agree with your assessment of your problem and they might provide you with a clear price from the beginning. But once the process begins, other facts might arise that require you to change course and pay more for these unforeseen changes. Even worse, because they didn’t know your full circumstances, they might soon learn that their original resolution wasn’t appropriate or adequate, forcing them to try a new strategy midstream for even more costs. Worse yet, no one discovers these new facts until months or even years later, resulting in a nullified agreement and even worse penalties and interest. In general, companies that provide a cost up front without full analysis and understanding tend to overcharge to help cover unforeseen expenses.
“The fee they quoted me never changed. They kept up their end of the deal.

You could also reach out to a company that promises “pennies on the dollar” deals, settlements, and compromises. If there is a way to challenge or lower your liability, we will get it done. But the IRS only offers these opportunities for those who qualify because of hardship or financial inability to pay. In these cases, you need someone on your side who knows your rights, knows the law, and knows how to provide the best options.
Other options include ignoring the problem and hoping the IRS will go away. That won’t happen. Instead they might escalate matters by imposing liens, levies, and garnishments as penalties and interest continue to rise.
